The Color Is Still Intact — Here’s Why
The most common concern from color-treated clients: “Will straightening damage my color?” With acid-based straightening (pH 4–6) — in most cases, no. The warm brown tone in this case is completely preserved. Acid formulas are significantly gentler on color than older alkaline methods, which is one of the main reasons I use acid-based straightening for almost all color-treated clients.
Why This Looks Natural, Not Stiff
The ends have natural movement. This is deliberate — I leave a small untreated margin at the roots to preserve natural volume at the crown. Iron work is calibrated for smooth but not rigid results. For color-treated hair, I always ask about bleach history first. Regular colour is generally straightforward; bleached sections require different protocols. Bleached hair guide →
