Hello — I’m Kenji, an English-speaking hairstylist in Ginza. For over 23 years I’ve helped people enjoy better hair, and today I focus on what I love most: giving international clients in Japan hair they feel confident in — with the whole appointment in English.

My journey: three cities, one craft
My career has taken me across three places, and each shaped how I work. I spent years in Singapore, learning to cut and care for hair of every texture and nationality — curly, wavy, coarse, fine and colored hair from all over the world. Back in Japan I worked in Yokohama’s Motomachi, and today I run my own private salon in Ginza.
Those years abroad are why international hair feels natural to me. I’ve seen how differently Western, Asian and mixed hair behaves — and how often visitors to Japan struggle to find a stylist who truly understands it.
How I work
My salon is one-on-one and private — just you and me, no rush, no crowd. I can listen properly, plan carefully, and give you my full attention from consultation to finish.
Above all I believe in being honest. If a treatment isn’t right for your hair, or something can’t be fixed in one visit, I’ll tell you — your trust matters more to me than a quick sale.
