Tunisian Hair in Japan: Acid Straightening Before & After (Ginza, Tokyo)

The problem

This client is from Tunisia. Her hair is naturally wavy with a lot of frizz, especially at the crown and the surface. In Japan’s humidity it would swell and lose its shape, and it was hard to keep smooth from morning to night.

What I did

I used acid straightening together with a cut. Acid straightening is a gentle, low-damage method that works at a soft pH, close to the hair’s natural state, so even dry or color-treated hair stays soft and shiny — not stiff or flat. The cut refined the shape and removed the dry ends. The appointment took about 4 hours, one-on-one in my private salon in Ginza.
