What surprises many is that even clients who found their hair manageable in Taipei’s humidity notice a change in Tokyo’s specific rainy season conditions. Tokyo’s June–July period creates a particular sustained atmospheric pressure that’s different from Taiwan’s subtropical humidity pattern.

In my experience comparing results from Taiwanese and Japanese treatments, the difference that clients most consistently notice: the Japanese acid approach tends to produce slightly softer, more natural movement at the roots. This is a technical difference in how the formula is applied at the root area and how the iron work is executed — not a dramatic difference, but noticeable for clients with high expectations for finish quality.
