A client from Indonesia, who lives in Kanagawa, came to see me for straightening.

Her hair history
Her hair had been bleached twice: once at a salon, and once at home by herself. Her last straightening was about three months earlier. That meant new growth at the roots, while the lengths were already straightened.
The plan: treat roots and ends differently
Because the hair was in two different conditions, I did not treat it as one uniform head of hair.
- Roots: Acid Straightening on the new growth only.
- Ends: already straightened, so I did not straighten them again. I cared for them with X Treatment.
The result

The new growth is now smooth and straight, while the previously straightened ends were treated with X Treatment to maintain their condition and create a more even overall finish.
Treatment details
- Menu: Acid Straightening (roots) + X Treatment (ends)
- Time: about 3.5 hours
- Price: ¥33,000 (see the full price guide)
- Location: Ginza (Tokyo) and Yokohama
A note on bleached hair
Hair that has been bleached, especially more than once, is more fragile, and not every bleached head of hair can be straightened. It depends on the condition of your hair on the day. If you are wondering how straightening affects hair, I explain it in Does Japanese Hair Straightening Damage Your Hair? and you can see another bleached-hair case in this client story.
Not sure if Japanese hair straightening is suitable for your hair? Send me photos of your current hair and your hair history. I can check your hair condition before you book.
